Our highly experienced instructors will help you gain all the knowledge and skills necessary to become a licensed skydiver, in a welcoming dropzone with a great social atmosphere.
The AFF skydiving or so called Accelerated Free Fall course covers all aspects of your jump.
AFF Melbourne makes use of modern training equipment and advanced training techniques to put you in control of your skydive on the very first jump.
The two day training course will be your launch pad to your first freefall skydive in Melbourne. You will go to 10,000ft with two instructors beside you to make sure you enjoy your first skydive experience safely.
The AFF course has nine stages with each jump teaching you the skills needed to fly your body in the air. An instructor will help guide you under canopy to ensure a safe landing.
Day 1: You will be introduced to your course instructor who is a highly experienced and accredited person within the Australian Parachute Federation. Throughout the day they will cover a broad range of topics designed to make your first jump as safe and memorable as possible. You will learn what will be required of you as well as practical work covering safety and what to do whilst in freefall, under canopy and landing.
At the end of the day, you will be required to sit a multiple-choice exam and then cover the requirements for your first jump sequence.
Day 2: Once your exam has the tick of approval, we will move into some additional ground training from which point you will be introduced to the Accelerated Freefall skydiving instructors that will be accompanying you on your jump. After a final run through and checks, we go and skydive.

AFF Jump Price by Stage
Ground training
$300*Ground training - not including jumpStage 1 with ground training
$595*You start with a full day’s training on the ground. You will be taught everything you need to know for your first jump. You’ll learn how to exit an aircraft, how to stay stable in freefall & how to deploy your parachute. You will also be taught how to handle various scenarios once your parachute is open, and how to fly your parachute back to earth. Your first skydive will be thoroughly planned with your skydiving instructors so you’ll know exactly what to do. Once this is done you will be doing your stage 1 jump.Stage 1
$364*Two instructors will accompany you in free fall for your first jump and subsequent two stages to ensure your safety. Sit in the door of the plane with two instructors on either side of you as you launch into free fall. This is an orientation skydive to gain a general awareness in free fall and to open your parachute at a predetermined altitude.Stage 2
$364*This and the following stages of the course require short briefings before each skydive with two free fall instructors. Focus on body position and basic principles of turning in free-fall. Your parachute flight will consolidate your flight plan that will get you accurately to the ground.Stage 3
$364*With the right body position you’ll be flying solo on this jump your instructors will be flying right next to you for support. Under parachute your target assistant will be giving you minor adjustments to assist with landing yourself.Stage 4
$244*Just one instructor jumps with you on this stage as you fine tune the art of falling straight down! You should be landing the parachute with minimal or no assistance by now!Stage 5
$244*Now you have a grasp of the basic body position, you’ll be doing 360 degree turns in free-fall. Fine tune your parachute circuit and landing.Stage 6
$244*Your first solo exit – your instructor leaves the plane with you but they’re not holding on this time! More 360 degree turns and forward movement. You should be feeling more confident under your parachute and landing without assistance.Stage 7
$244*The world turns upside down as you do a back-loop in this stage. Manoeuvre your body across the ground as you learn the basics of tracking! Continue to work on your accuracy for landing.Stage 8
$244*Learn precision in relative body flight as you try to fall faster and slower than your instructor. Then get your track on and motor across the sky! Keep landing near the target – you need 10 landings within 30m for your ‘A’ Licence.Stage 9
$162*The world looks much closer now as you launch into the air from 4,000 feet and open your parachute within seconds of leaving the plane. One more circuit and landing and CONGRATS! You’ve completed your AFF components!
